ABOUT US
In recognising today's demand for quality, economical, practical and fully type-tested Low Voltage Switchboards, United Automation Sdn Bhd has come out with Type UA-100 series of switchboard assemblies. It is fully modular, robust, versatile, reliable and with a high degree of personnel and system safety. Its flexibility allows for easy interchangable of parts while lesser parts are utilised which will ensure shorter assembly time. Type UA-100 switchboard assemblies is fully type-tested and comply to IEC 60439-1 : 1999 / BS EN 60439-1:1999. It is ASTA certified from 50KA 3 Sec to 100KA 1 Sec. In addition, the quality system of United Automation Sdn Bhd is certified according to ISO9001:2000. The ISO certification together with the ASTA certification is a quality mark to the whole company, its way of acting and product quality.


CONSTRUCTION
The UA modular range of switchboards is versatile and rigidly constructed to suit a wide range of industries and buildings. The supporting structures which form the framework are made up from 2.3mm thickness perforated steel sections, fully pressed and punched into u-shape profiles by computerised aided machines.

The door covers, partitions and panel parts are fabricated with computerised aided machines for high precision and accuracy. Base degree of protection is IP42. Higher degree of protection like IP54 or more can be manufactured on request. Due to its flexibility, UA switchboards can be adapted to both top and bottom entry.


FINISHES
United Automation Sdn Bhd pays great attention to the standard of workmanship and finishes. To ensure high quality finishing, all metal parts undergo thorough chemical treatment for anti-rust and epoxy powder adhesion. As standard, epoxy powder coating of 50 micron is applied evenly on all metal surface and ovenbaked at an average temperature of 150°C.


RATING
UA Switchbaords and its busbar system are designed, manufacture and tested to the latest IEC 60439-1 / BSEN 60439-1. It is fully type tested and ASTA certified to a maximum of 100KA 1 Sec.

BUSBARS
Non-insulated or insulated high conductivity copper busbars with neutral are housed at the top section of the cubicle. The main busbars are mounted and supported on organic busbar supports or polyamide polyster busbar supports. The busbar chamber is housed in a separate compartment on top of the cubicle with facilities for segregation. Maximum temperature rise as tested by ASTA is less than 70°C on an ambient of 40°C.


INTERNAL SEPARATIONS OF ASSEMBLIES (FORM 1, 2, 3 AND 4)
Due to its flexibility, UA modular switchbaord can be easily partitioned into enclosed protected spaces according to Form 1 to Form 4. The form of separation according to the latest IEC60439-1:1999 offers an internal protection of minimum IP2X or more.


TECHNICAL DATA

  1. TEMPERATURE RISE LIMITS
    Type test verified by ASTA to IEC60439-1 on a total assembly with busbar ratings up to 6000Amp. Temperature rise is below 70°C.

  2. DIELECTRIC PROPERTIES
    Type test verified by ASTA to IEC60439-1 on a total assembly with 2500V rating for 1 minute without flashover.

  3. SHORT CIRCUIT WITHSTAND STRENGTH
    Type test verified by ASTA to IEC60439-1 on a total assembly with short circuit level test on the busbar system. Rated short time withstand current reaches from 50KA/ 3 Sec to a maximum of 100KA/ 1 Sec.

  4. PROTECTIVE CIRCUIT
    Type test verified by ASTA to IEC60439-1 on a total assembly. Effective connections between the exposed conductive parts and earth have been tested by a number of measurements to check the resistance. Short circuit withstand strength of the protective circuit has been tested to the short circuit level of the busbar system.

  5. CLEARANCE AND CREEPAGE DISTANCES
    Type test verified by ASTA to IEC60439-1 on a total assembly. The distance is verified by measurement and an impulse test of 6000V.

  6. MECHANICAL FUNCTIONS
    Type test verified by ASTA to IEC60439-1 on a total assembly. mechanical operation of the functional units and covers are carried out with 50 operational cycles or more to check its functionality.

  7. DEGREE OF PROTECTION
    Type test verified by ASTA to IEC60439-1 on a total assembly. The degree of protection is rated at IP42.

  8. ARC Fault Test
    Type test verified by ASTA to Australian Standard 3439-1-1993 on a total assembly. The Operational safety ARC fault test has been conducted to check its reliablity.
